Being from out of town this place was so welcoming. The food is terrific. Had the fish tacos and they were great. Happy hour Margheritas are the bomb. Had to come back again and try the pizza and it was definitely better than expected. Nicole is an excellent bar tender and drinks were spot on.

Good pub-grub, and service can be hit or miss, it really depends on if it's crowded or not. If you go there to hang out with friends and catch up on some business from the past week. Do it before the band gets there. Otherwise you can't hear yourself think.

My wife and I stopped here all three nights that we were camping at a nearby KOA about 2 miles north of the restaurant between March 24-26, 2005. It looks somewhat unappealing on the outside, but on the inside it is very nice and clean, with great lighting, and it looks like it was recently remodeled. It's more of a late night place to go because they have either live music or karaoke every night of the week. We noted that most of the crowd was comprised of locals who live in the St. James city area or on the south end of Pine Island. They have a long bar in the rear of the restaurant with lots of seats on both sides of it, and also a lot of dining tables inside as well as a few on the porch out front. There is a band area on the north side of the restaurant (inside). They have a good menu, but we only had a late night appetizer there. The front side parking lot gets full very quickly, but they have additional parking out back. All three nights we went there (Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday) it was packed with people and everyone was having a great time listing to the live music and/or some very good local karaoke singers. We found it to be a very enjoyable place and the only one in St. James City to stay open past 10:00 pm.
